Rapper and creative Apollo Steeno drops the revolutionary track and video for his song entitled “Royal Blood” The song is an elaborate display of both witty flows and substantial lyrics depicting the trials and tribulations one must overcome to indeed understand knowledge of self. Apollo obviously has achieved knowledge of self as this track and video is a clear testament to the royalty and regality of the African and his descendants, ancestors who were indeed founders of the sciences, medicine, construction, physics, astrology you get the picture Apollo Steeno also knows this. The song is also a metaphor for the royal status Apollo is showcasing with his choice in flows and subject matter. The chorus is as infectious as the sample which opens and introduces the backdrop for the beat. The video is an ode to royalty, African and Ancient Kemet symbolism. The choice of flows in the track used by Apollo are delivered in a non Chalant style honed by Apollo as a sign he isn’t new to such cadence or space on the track. Lines like “I was a prince from the day my mother made me, although the system hates me” create a defiance and vengeance against the oppressors who seek to keep us mis informed and un aware of our history and roots as royals. Royal Blood is a glimpse into the achievement of reaching knowledge of self and embracing ones power on this earth to be a creative force whilst showing rappers it can be a long day whenever they are ready.
